Men deserve skin that looks better, fresher, and younger too! Men’s and women’s skin have distinct and significant biological differences, which means different needs when it comes to skincare. 1) Men's skin is 10-20% thicker than women's, especially on the forehead, jowl, and neck, yet despite being thicker, is actually more sensitive to environmental stressors. 2) Men produce more sebum than women, thus tends to be shinier, but more prone to breakouts, blackheads, and enlarged pores. 3) Men also produce more collagen than women, which allows them to develop wrinkles later, but when they do develop, wrinkles tend to be deeper. Men's skincare doesn't have to be complex OR time-consuming. In fact, when done correctly and consistently, men's skincare is far simpler and faster than women's. Staples to men's skincare should include: ✔️ Salicylic acid or Benzyl peroxide preshave care - for bumpy texture, razor burns, ingrown hairs, or pimple prone skin because they act as an exfoliant and bacteria killer while also being anti-inflammatory ✔️ Moisturize while you shave - if you wet shave, try a moisturizing shaving cream while shaving in the direction of hair growth; if you dry shave, use a moisturizing serum or aftershave cream to seal in your natural skin's hydration...just think smooth and supple for smooching ✔️ Antioxidant protection - best applied after you wash and shave, vitamin C serum will help stave off free radicals that attack your skin to cause wrinkles and fine lines. ✔️ Sunscreen - sun damage is cumulative so the sooner you protect your skin from the ravages of UV rays, the better off you'll be...apply a broad-spectrum SPF30 every day! ✔️ Retinol - if you want to add that extra oomph to your skin, try retinol at night (start twice weekly and build from there) to stimulate quicker skin turnover...so fresh skin is seen quicker. ⭐Remember: anyone with skin can benefit from a regular skincare regimen.
