Anatomy Knowledge Is Essential For Medical Aesthetics! Depicted are the main facial muscles treated (and their direction of action) to help with wrinkle reduction. There is always an opposing muscle group to be considered for best aesthetic results. It may seem like we treat random spots with product, but please know there is soooo much decision making that goes into each injection. What this illustration does not identify is the depth of muscle origin and end attachment which must be considered to ensure the correct muscle group is affected. Our face has layers of muscles that must be respected. The human body is complicated and requires continuous learning and refreshing on anatomy and physiology. This is what practitioners dedicated to their patients will engage in. It also helps having an aesthetic eye, love for anatomy and lifelong learning. Loving what you do makes it easy to put energy and time into continuously striving for better. Have a wonderful Monday everyone and don't forget to spread some joy Cindy Fehr RN(NP)
